Fighter begin each round with a certain amount of Hit Points (hereafter referred to as HP). Players lose a various amount of HP when they are struck by an opposing player's weapon in the torso, arms or legs. Players are also penalized HP is they grab the blade of another player's weapon. Players may grab a handle or shaft of another fighter's weapon without penalty. Strikes with the shield are not allowed. Strikes using excessive force (25lbs of force or more will not be scored.
The fighting area (hereafter referred to as “the ring”) is an open circle with a 30ft radius. There is a 8ft circle at center ring. Weapon stands holding two of each weapon placed 5ft from the end edge of the ring surround the ring.
To start each round, a fighter is randomly selected to select a weapon first. A fighter is allowed to select up to two weapons in the event they wish to dual wield two of any available weapons or pair any weapon with a shield. Each fighter makes a weapon selection and takes their place at opposite sides of the center ring.
Each round begins with a 90 second clock and with each fighter having 100 hit points (hereafter referred to as HP). 10 HP are lost to strikes to the torso, 5 HP are lost to strikes to the arms or legs. A fighter wins a round by striking their opponent enough times to exhaust their HP for the round, or by forcing a “Ring Out”, or by having the most remaining HP when time for the round expires. If time for the round expires and both fighters have an equal amount of remaining HP, each fighter is awarded a round.
There are 30 seconds between each round.
If round 3 ends in a draw, a sudden death round will be fought. The sudden death round is untimed, each fighter starts the round with 5 HP.
Once a round has begun, fighters are allowed to step out of the ring (stopping the clock) once to make a weapon change. The fighter is allowed up to 15 seconds outside of the ring. Failure to return to the ring within 15 seconds results in “ring out” loss of round. Any part of a fighter’s body touching outside of the ring (intentionally or by force) a second time will result in a “ring out” immediately ending the round resulting in a lost round for the fighter with and part of their body outside of the ring.
A full match consists of best 2 out of 3 fights.
90 second rounds. Best 2 of 3 rounds. Each fighter begins each round with 100 HP, scoring works the same as 1 on 1 fights. A 30 second break is taken in between rounds.
Each round begins with one fighter (an active fighter) from each team selecting a weapon and taking their place at ring center and their teammate (the inactive fighter) selecting a weapon and placing themselves anywhere they choose outside of the ring. Teams choose who will be the first active and inactive fighter each round.
The inactive fighters are free to move about the outside of the ring as they please so long as they don't impede the other inactive fighter's movement.
In tag team matches, fighters aren’t allowed to step out of the ring to change weapons, but they can be given a different weapon by their inactive partner. To change weapons the must drop their current weapon outside of the ring and be handed or thrown another weapon.
In the event that a fighter doesn't cleanly receive the weapon given by their partner, the opposing team isn't allowed to intentionally touch the weapon, but the can attack the unarmed fighter.
Unlike 1 on 1 fights, no pause in fighting are granted for weapon changes.
The active and inactive fighters on a team swap places (hereafter referred to as a "tag in") when any part of the active fighter touches outside of the ring and their weapon makes contact with their partner's weapon. Their weapons must touch within 2 seconds of the active fighter touching outside of the ring. Failure to do so results in a ring out.
Inactive fighters with less than 100 HP regenerate 1 HP/second during the round up to 20 HP.
Inactive fighters must stay outside of the ring and must change weapons every time they step out. If round time runs out, the round will be awarded to team with highest cumulative HP. Equal cumulative remaining HP will result in each team being awarded a round.
The match is awarded to the winner of the teams best 2 of 3 rounds.
If the 3rd round ends in a draw, a sudden death round is fought. Each fighter starts the round with 5 HP. No HP regeneration occurs during the sudden death round. Each team selects their fighter to start the round.
No tagging is allowed during the sudden death round. Once a the active fighter's HP is depleted, the surviving active fighter from the the inactive fighter takes over. The fight ends when both fighters of a team have their HP depleted.
A full match consists of a best 2 out of three fights.
